To celebrate the launch, Foot Locker and adidas tapped musicians Kid Cudi, Raury and H.E.R., and athletes Patrick Mahomes, Donovan Mitchell and Candace Parker as leaders in their communities that represent the identity of the Collective. Asterisk – The Collective's symbol – serves as an icon that signifies the coming together of sport, creativity and community, as well as the exception to the rule that marks those who stand out and make a difference.
These six initial creative partners represent the story and the integrity of the Collective, and in return, the Asterisk honors their courage, strength and action to stand out.
H.E.R.: H.E.R. teamed up with the Oaktown Jazz Workshop to engage with their music students and the local community. During her time there, H.E.R. made a sizable donation of musical equipment and other special gifts to the Oaktown Jazz Workshop to help encourage learning and growth in the musical world. Gabi chose a group of 10 deserving students join her at the Lights On Festival for a VIP experience and meet & greet backstage.
Patrick Mahomes: Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback stopped by the Kansas City Mercy Children's Hospital to spend time with the children as part of the Foot Locker x adidas Asterisk Collective initiative, whose mission to inspire and empower individuals to make an impact in their communities.
Donovan Mitchell: NBA star Donovan Mitchell and his Spidacares Foundation to present a $25K college grant and the new Tresc Asterisk Collective kicks to Naja.
Candace Parker: We teamed up with adidas and Candace Parker for a Skills Camp that brought together 100 boys and girls aged 14 – 18. All participants will walk away with a stronger sense of self confidence, meaning and purpose, increased social awareness and a swag bag.
